How to Use the Generator: A Complete Guide
Welcome to your personal sound laboratory. Our generator is designed to be both powerful and simple, giving you full control over your mental state through binaural beats and isochronic tones. This guide will walk you through every feature, from using scientifically-organized presets to crafting complex, multi-stage sound sessions.
Interface Overview
The interface is divided into three main sections: the main controls, the wave visualizer, and the Session Builder.
1. Main Controls: Your Sound Dashboard
This is where you can set up and control your listening session in real-time.
- Generation Mode: Choose between Binaural Beats (requires headphones) and Isochronic Tones (can be used with speakers). Each has unique properties for brainwave entrainment.
- Choose a preset: The easiest way to start. We've organized the presets into categories based on brainwave states (Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, Gamma) and Solfeggio Frequencies. Each category targets a specific goal, like "Deep Sleep & Healing" or "Concentration & Energy." Just select a preset and press Play!
- Binaural Beat / Pulse Frequency (Hz): This is the core control. It sets the target frequency for your brain. For example, a 10 Hz beat guides your brain toward an Alpha state (calm focus), while a 2.5 Hz beat encourages a Delta state (deep sleep).
- Carrier / Tone Frequency (Hz): This is the base tone of the sound. While the beat is the "message" for your brain, the carrier frequency is the "voice" that delivers it. A lower carrier (e.g., 136.1 Hz) feels deep and grounding, while a higher one might feel more ethereal.
- Timer (minutes): Set a timer for your session. Leave it at 0 for infinite playback.
- Tones Volume: Adjusts the volume of the main tones.
- Background: Add a background sound like "Pink Noise" or "Rain" to mask external sounds and make the experience more immersive. You can also upload your own audio file.
- Background Volume: Adjusts the volume of the background sound.
2. The Wave Visualizer
This canvas displays a visual representation of the sound wave you're hearing. It's real-time feedback that confirms the generator is active.
3. The Session Builder: Craft Custom Sessions
This is the generator's most powerful feature. Here, you can create a custom session by adding multiple tracks. The session can be played in two modes:
- Sequential: Each track in your list will play one after the other. This is ideal for guided sessions that evolve over time, like moving from a state of focus to one of relaxation.
- Combined: This mode plays all the tracks in your session list at the same time. This allows you to create complex, layered soundscapes. For example, you could combine a deep Delta wave for relaxation with a gentle Theta wave for creativity, listening to both simultaneously.
How to Use Preset Sessions
We've created guided sessions for common goals. This is the easiest way to use the advanced features:
- From the "Choose a preset" dropdown, select a session from the "Sequential Sessions" or "Combined Sessions" categories.
- The session's tracks will automatically populate the list in the Session Builder.
- Press the main Play button to start the entire session. The generator will handle the playback according to the selected mode.
How to Create a Custom Session
Want to design your own bespoke session? It's simple:
- Set the Beat, Carrier, and Duration for the first track of your session using the main controls.
- Click "Add Track to Session".
- Repeat the process for all the tracks you want to add.
- In the Session Builder, select whether you want the session to be Sequential or Combined.
- You can remove an item from the list at any time with the "Remove" button.
- Once your session is ready, press the main Play button to begin.
